Job Skills Training/Employment

ACDP Employment Services supports individuals in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment and encourages opportunities for everyone to earn real wages in real jobs within the community. Our program encourages every participant to believe in themselves and in their ability to work and contribute in meaningful ways. We encourage individuals to explore jobs that match their strengths, interests, and goals, and we support each person in making decisions about their own employment path.

  • Participate in our Paid Internship Program and is ready to gain real work and earn real wages

Mikey’s Success Story

Mikey’s journey is a shining example of determination and growth. After participating in Apollo ADP’s behavioral program since 2015, Mikey graduated from the program and transitioned to Apollo CDP in September 2025. Within his first month, he achieved an incredible milestone — securing a real job at GameStop and earning competitive wages.

Through Apollo ADP’s Paid Internship Program, Mikey developed valuable work skills, strong money management habits, and the confidence needed to succeed in the community. With the continued support of his job coach at Apollo CDP, he has turned those skills into meaningful employment.

Mikey also has big dreams beyond the workplace. After three years of saving part of his earnings, he proudly fulfilled a bucket list goal by traveling to Hawaii with friends and enjoying the beautiful beaches of Oahu.

Now, Mikey is saving for his next adventure — a trip to New Orleans to experience its famous food and culture. His journey shows how dedication, support, and opportunity can open doors to both meaningful employment and unforgettable life experiences.

We are incredibly proud of Mikey and excited to see where his journey takes him next!

Warren’s Success Story

Warren has been with the Apollo family for more than a decade, demonstrating dedication, growth, and resilience throughout his journey. In 2025, Warren proudly graduated from the Apollo Behavioral Program, marking a significant milestone in his personal and professional development.

Shortly after transitioning into a community-based program, Warren achieved another major accomplishment. Within just one month, he secured competitive employment at Chili’s, where he earns real wages while contributing meaningful work. This opportunity not only strengthened his independence but also enhanced his financial stability and expanded his employment portfolio.

Warren’s motivation and commitment to growth did not stop there. He recently took another step forward by gaining additional employment at a local café, creating a second source of income. This achievement reflects his strong work ethic, increasing confidence, and desire to build a more secure and fulfilling future.

Warren’s journey is a powerful example of what is possible with the right support, determination, and opportunity. His continued success inspires both his peers and the Apollo community.

We are so proud of Warren for his dedication in improving his life and career goals. His success shows his hard work and growth, and we are proud of what he has achieved!

Isaac’s Success Story

After graduating from high school, Isaac joined the Apollo Community Day Program and quickly began working toward his goals. He first secured a seasonal position at a retail store within his first month at the program, gaining valuable work experience.

Determined to grow, Isaac continued applying for jobs and attending interviews. His persistence paid off when he obtained another position within the community. He is currently training at a local milk tea cafe, where he enjoys learning new skills and building confidence in the workplace.

Isaac also shares his passion for music by performing live each week for Apollo ADP participants as part of his Paid Internship Program. He hopes to one day explore music as a career.

He often expresses appreciation for the friendships he has built and the encouragement he receives, which helps him believe that he can accomplish anything he dreams of.

We are proud of Isaac for his dedication and perseverance in building his future. His support team from his program and care home are also proud of him and excited to see him reach his full potential!
